Final Assembly (Temp to Perm)

Andover, Hampshire

Salary up to £29,640

Full time and Permanent working 47.5 hours per week

Monday to Friday 07:30am – 5:30pm

Benefits including as follows:

  • Overtime: Overtime is paid at time and a half after 47.5 hours per week.
  • Holiday: 21 days per year, plus 8 bank holidays.

Due to Business growth, we have been requested to recruit a Final Assembly Operative to join our client based in Andover to join their successful joinery shop.  

The duties and responsibilities will include as follows:

Assembling Windows and Doors:

  • Fit windows and doors with ironmongery, including hinges, handles, locks, and other necessary hardware.
  • Ensure proper alignment and functionality of all components, including smooth operation of hinges and locking mechanisms.

Installing Glass:

  • Place and secure glass panels into window and door frames using appropriate adhesives, sealants, or fasteners.
  • Verify the integrity of the glass, checking for any defects or imperfections before installation.

Quality Control:

  • Conduct thorough inspections of assembled windows and doors to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Identify and address any defects, damages, or discrepancies in the assembly process, making necessary adjustments or repairs as needed.

Following Work Instructions:

  • Adhere to detailed work instructions, drawings, and specifications provided for each project to ensure accurate assembly and installation.
  • Maintain consistency and precision in assembly techniques to produce high-quality finished products.

Material Handling:

  • Handle and transport materials, components, and finished products safely and efficiently within the assembly area.
  • Organize and maintain inventory of hardware, ironmongery, glass, and other materials needed for assembly.

This is a physically demanding position.
