Logistics Operative

Job Type: Temporary rolling contract – Ongoing
Our client, a global engineering company based in Melksham, is currently seeking a Logistics Operative to join their Stores department on an ongoing temporary basis. The company manufactures components for the rail industry and operates across multiple locations throughout Europe.
This role will report directly to the Cell Leader and will involve supporting production operations by ensuring the efficient movement and management of materials.
Picking orders for production
Line feeding production cells
Packing goods for despatch
Booking in both clean and dirty goods
Working towards a zero-defects process
Managing first-in, first-out (FIFO) stock control
Interacting with internal and external customers
Managing inventory effectively
Working efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrating good teamwork and leadership qualities
Previous experience in a similar logistics, warehouse, or stores role
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Strong attention to detail
SAP experience would be advantageous but is not essential
Monday – Thursday: 07:00 – 15:30
Friday: 07:00 – 12:00
