If you’re an experienced supervisor who enjoys a hands-on role and is confident overseeing people, plant and day-to-day site operations, this could be an excellent opportunity to join an established business.

We are looking for a Yard & Plant Machinery Foreman to take responsibility for the smooth running of a busy site, ensuring operations are carried out safely, efficiently and in line with company and regulatory requirements.

This is a practical, hands-on position where you’ll be responsible for supervising a team while also supporting the operation of fixed and mobile plant and ensuring the site remains safe, organised and productive.

The role:

• Lead and coordinate the day-to-day activities across the site
• Support site operatives, ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently
• Monitor site standards and ensure operational procedures are followed
• Operate authorised mobile plant and ensure machinery is used safely and correctly
• Assist with the day-to-day upkeep and maintenance of fixed and mobile plant
• Ensure compliance with health & safety, environmental and waste management requirements
• Maintain accurate site records
• Identify and resolve operational issues quickly and effectively

Skills & Experience:

• Previous experience supervising or leading a team within a hands-on operational environment is essentialt
• Confident operating mobile plant and machinery is essential
• Current NPORS, CPCS or equivalent plant certification
• Good understanding of health, safety and environmental requirements
• Strong organisational skills with good attention to detail
• Confident communication skills and the ability to give clear direction to a team
• Practical approach to problem-solving and the ability to respond effectively to changing priorities
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office and completing operational records
• Excellent attention to detail
• Reliable, proactive and willing to get involved in the day-to-day running of the site

This is a hands-on supervisory position, so you should be comfortable spending time out on site, working alongside operational teams and taking responsibility for maintaining high standards across the facility.

Hours of work:

42.5 hours a week, Monday – Friday 7am – 4:30pm.
