Salary: £30k-£30k per annum + shift allowance
Location: Devizes
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Double Day Shift (39 hours per week)

We are recruiting for a permanent Assembly Operative to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Devizes.

Working within a small production team, you’ll carry out detailed assembly work using small components. This is a hands-on role that requires excellent manual dexterity, patience and concentration, with the ability to complete repetitive tasks while maintaining exceptionally high-quality standards.

The Role

• Carry out precision assembly work using small components.
• Follow work instructions, quality standards and inspection procedures.
• Alternate between manual assembly tasks and automated production processes.
• Complete basic production paperwork and book work through the ERP system.
• Carry out routine machine checks and report any issues.
• Work closely with a small team to meet production and quality targets.
• Support other production departments when required (full training provided).

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has excellent manual dexterity and enjoys detailed, repetitive work.
• Has a high level of attention to detail and takes pride in producing quality work.
• Is methodical, organised and able to follow detailed instructions.
• Has basic computer skills.
• Works well as part of a small team.
• Is flexible and willing to support other production areas when required.
• Is comfortable standing for long periods during the working day.

Previous experience in assembly, manufacturing, electronics, wiring, engineering or working with small components would be an advantage, although full training will be provided.

Shift Pattern

39 hours per week – Double Day Shift

• Monday to Thursday: 6:00am – 2:30pm / 2:30pm – 11:00pm
• Friday: 6:00am – 11:00am / 11:00am – 4:00pm

Training:
Initial training will be completed on the day shift before moving onto the double day shift pattern.

• Monday to Thursday: 7:30am – 4:30pm
• Friday: 7:30am – 12:30pm
