Are you an experienced Finance or Accounts Assistant looking for a part-time role where you can take ownership of a varied workload and play an important role within a small, friendly team?

With a hands-on approach and a strong focus on delivering a high-quality service to tenants, suppliers and stakeholders, the business is now looking for a Finance Administrator to join its compact finance team.

This is a varied role combining Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, credit control, reconciliations, banking and property-related finance administration. It would suit someone who enjoys working across different areas of finance and is comfortable taking responsibility in a small-team environment.

The Role

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will provide day-to-day finance and administrative support across the business, working closely with the Financial Controller and Property Managers.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Processing and coding supplier invoices and supporting the Accounts Payable process
  • Coordinating the flow of purchase invoices and maintaining the AP ledger
  • Preparing payment runs and reconciling supplier statements
  • Supporting new supplier onboarding and maintaining accurate supplier records
  • Assisting with rent, service charge and other tenant invoicing
  • Taking responsibility for day-to-day credit control and monitoring tenant arrears
  • Chasing outstanding payments and providing regular arrears updates and commentary
  • Maintaining the Accounts Receivable ledger and allocating receipts
  • Performing daily bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Supporting the management of tenant deposit accounts
  • Assisting with service charge reconciliations and maintaining property-related financial records
  • Preparing control account reconciliations to support month-end and quarterly reporting
  • Producing basic management reports as required
  • Supporting the annual audit process
  • Assisting with general finance administration, projects and process improvements
  • Providing occasional general office administration support as part of a small team

About You

We are looking for someone with previous experience in an Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant or similar finance role, with a good understanding of Accounts Payable and/or Accounts Receivable.

You will need to be:

  • Accurate and highly organised, with good attention to detail
  • Confident using Microsoft Excel
  • Comfortable managing your own workload and working independently
  • A good communicator who is confident dealing with suppliers, tenants and colleagues
  • Proactive and willing to get involved across a broad range of responsibilities
  • Reliable, trustworthy and able to take ownership of your work
  • Comfortable working within a small, hands-on team
  • Naturally inquisitive, with an interest in improving processes and ways of working

What’s on Offer?

  • £28,000 per annum pro rata
  • 22.5 hours per week, worked across 3–5 days
  • Permanent position
  • Based in Bath
  • A varied role with genuine responsibility
  • The opportunity to work closely with an experienced Financial Controller and wider property team
  • A small, collaborative working environment where your contribution will be valued

If you are an experienced finance professional looking for a flexible part-time opportunity in Bath, with the chance to take ownership of a varied finance and property administration role, we would be very interested in hearing from you.
