Hours: 06:00 – 14:00 Mon – Fri / 14:00 – 00:00 Mon – Thur. Rotating weekly

We are recruiting for Mechanical Assembly Operatives to join a leading engineering and manufacturing company within the rail industry.

This is a hands-on role based in a busy workshop environment, involving the assembly and build of brake calipers and associated components. The role requires practical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work as part of a team while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

This position is ideal for candidates with experience in mechanical assembly, production, manufacturing, engineering, or other hands-on roles. Candidates with a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn are also encouraged to apply, as full training will be provided.

Key Duties:

• Building brake calipers and mechanical components
• Using hand tools to dismantle and rebuild units
• Working in a busy production workshop environment

Skills & Experience:

• Mechanical, assembly, or manufacturing experience preferred
• Experience using hand tools (spanners, torque wrenches, etc.)
• Ability to follow instructions and processes
• Good attention to detail
• Comfortable working in a dirty / noisy workshop environment
• Confident using hand tools
