Working hours: Monday to Thursday 08:00 – 17:00 and Friday 08:00 – 14:00

Are you an experienced Production or Machine Setter Operator looking for your next opportunity within a well-established manufacturing business?

I have been requested by our Client, a well-established leading manufacturing company in Calne to recruit a Production / Machine Setter Operator. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy production team where you’ll play a key role in manufacturing high-quality precision components supplied to a range of industries.

The Role

Working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, you’ll be responsible for setting and operating a variety of production machinery while ensuring products are manufactured safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

You’ll also help coordinate workflow within the department, ensuring production schedules are met and customer deadlines achieved.

Key Responsibilities

• Set and operate a range of production machinery including cropping, punching, forming, drilling, tapping, deburring and press brake equipment.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings to manufacture components to specification.
• Coordinate and prioritise workflow within the department.
• Carry out quality inspections using measuring equipment to ensure products meet required tolerances.
• Maintain high manufacturing and quality standards in line with ISO 9001 procedures.
• Work safely and follow all Health & Safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organised and efficient work area.
• Work closely with colleagues to achieve production targets and delivery deadlines.

About You

We’re looking for someone with previous experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment who enjoys working to high standards and takes pride in producing quality work.

You’ll ideally have:

• Previous experience setting and operating production machinery (essential).
• Experience with press brakes, punching or cropping machinery would be highly advantageous.
• The ability to read engineering drawings.
• Experience using measuring equipment for quality inspection.
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A reliable, motivated and hands-on approach.
