CMD Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with our client on an exciting new opportunity for a highly organised and experienced Project Planner to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-driven individual to take ownership of planning and coordinating complex projects, ensuring every stage is meticulously organised and delivered to an exceptional standard.

Working closely with internal teams and a range of external stakeholders, you will be responsible for coordinating projects from initial planning through to final completion. You will play a key role in ensuring programmes run smoothly, deadlines are met, and the highest standards of quality are maintained throughout.

As a Project Coordinator, you will play a central role in the successful delivery of projects:

  • Manage, plan and coordinate projects from initial planning through to final completion.
  • Plan and coordinate site surveys and technical visits.
  • Review project drawings, elevations and specifications to identify requirements, risks and potential issues.
  • Develop detailed project programmes, schedules and site plans.
  • Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, designers, architects and internal teams to ensure all parties are aligned.
  • Ensure materials, equipment, specialist labour and resources are available when required.
  • Monitor project progress, proactively identifying potential delays and resolving any issues.
  • Maintain accurate project records, schedules, drawings and documentation.
  • Communicate changes, variations and site issues clearly to all relevant parties.
  • Work closely with site teams to resolve technical and logistical challenges.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, designers and suppliers.
  • Monitor subcontractor performance and reconcile invoices against completed works.

Our client is seeking a candidate who brings both the technical knowledge and personal qualities to make a real impact.

  • A good understanding of construction sequencing and site logistics.
  • Excellent organisational and scheduling skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to identify potential issues before they arise.
  • Confident communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, contractors, designers and site teams.
  • Familiarity with CAD drawings and project management software would also be beneficial.

This is a genuinely exciting opportunity for an organised and proactive individual to take ownership of complex projects, work alongside skilled professionals and contribute to delivering exceptional results.

Full UK driving licence and access to a car is essential, as the role will involve up to 1–2 site visits per week across the M4 corridor.
