Our client is looking for a proactive and hands-on Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their established manufacturing operation in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer looking for a varied role supporting both planned and reactive maintenance across a busy production environment.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring everything is maintained to a high standard, minimising downtime and supporting continuous improvement across the site.
Role and Responsibilities:
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance across machinery and site equipment
• Respond promptly to breakdowns and carry out effective fault finding and repairs
• Diagnose and repair both electrical and mechanical faults
• Work with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Support continuous improvement and reliability projects to enhance performance
• Undertake occasional fabrication and welding tasks where required
• Ensure all maintenance work is completed in line with Health & Safety standards
Skills and Experience:
• Proven experience in a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer role
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding abilities
• Experience working with hydraulics and pneumatics
• Knowledge of control gear, PLCs and 3-phase power systems
• Understanding of preventative maintenance systems and reactive repairs
• Able to work calmly under pressure and respond effectively to breakdowns
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work well within a team
• Practical, reliable and willing to get stuck in where needed
This role is working Monday – Friday on a day shift basis, totalling 39 hours per week.
Monday – Thursday 7.00am – 3.00pm Friday 7.00pm – 2.30pm
There is an on-call rota – approximately 1 in 4
