The South West HR market this week is characterized by a strong investment in Operational Excellence and Strategic Performance Management, while the high-end, niche roles from last week have been quickly filled.
New Opportunities and Trends
This week sees a distinct focus on structuring and improving the people function, from executive management to project-based transformation.
- Strategic Operations Leadership: New, high-level roles are centered on making the HR function more effective:
- HR Operations Manager (West of England Mayoral Combined Authority, Bristol).
- Senior Manager, People Performance & Enablement (Lloyds Banking Group, Bristol).
- HR Transformation Project Manager (Amcor, Bristol).
- Performance & Process Improvement: The demand for performance-focused HR is strong with the new HR Performance Senior Manager – 24-month FTC at CMS UK.

The market has been extremely efficient at clearing out the highly strategic and high-rate specialist roles posted last week.

- Senior Operational Roles Closed: The high-salary HR Manager – Distribution role (Zachary Daniels, £60k+) is no longer in the listings.

Continuing Positions and Competitive Trends
Competition for both specialist and junior roles remains very high across the South West.

- Administrative Competition: The HR Coordinator role at Change Grow Live (Leigh Woods) has a striking 98 applicants.
