 Job Title: Test & Development Engineer

Salary: £32,000 to £38,000 DOE

Location: Devizes, Wiltshire

Type: Permanent, Full time

My client is looking to recruit a Test & Development Engineer to join their manufacturing company based in Wiltshire. The company are a world leading manufacturer of precision parts, primarily serving the automotive, aerospace and power generation industries supplying a worldwide customer base.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a role which offers variety, as within this position your time will be split between the test and development of our clients products using test rigs, and also the design of products working with world leading OEM’s into the end use application.

The main duties within the role of Test & Development Engineer will be:

• Producing 3D models and assemblies, SolidWorks, or similar.
• Design of test rigs for static & dynamic testing / Design of our clients products.
• Creating detailed technical drawings for the manufacture components.
• Produce suitable test plans/test reports and manage projects.
• Operation of test rig.
• Installation of instrumentation and associated equipment.
• Write software for rig data acquisition, and control systems.

Skills/Experience required:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Solidworks experience or similar CAD package
• High level of IT skills (such as Excel, Matlab)
• Experience with FEA/ CFD.
• Knowledge of QA and DFMEA
• Project management skills.
• Good understanding of GD&T AND experience with FEA and CFD (beneficial).
• Excellent understanding of Mechanical Sciences.
