Our client is seeking a motivated and results-driven Regional Account Manager to join their team. Based in the South West region, this role offers the opportunity to contribute to the company’s growth and success.

As a Regional Account Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining and expanding our client’s business within the designated region. Your primary focus will be on developing relationships with both new and existing customers, driving growth, and achieving set targets. You will work closely with the UK Sales Manager to implement strategic plans and deliver exceptional customer service.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a comprehensive “portfolio plan” outlining strategies for achieving targets from various sectors, customers, and prospects
  • Conduct field sales visits to build relationships with customers and prospects, aligning with the portfolio plan and account management objectives
  • Maintain and update the CRM system with customer information, call planning, and visit scheduling
  • Pre-plan face-to-face visits using CRM data to maximise results
  • Foster and nurture long-term customer relationships, providing excellent post-sales support
  • Secure and process customer inquiries, collaborating with internal sales support as needed
  • Follow up on inquiries, negotiate effectively, and secure orders from new and existing customers
  • Promote specific products during face-to-face interactions to drive immediate sales
  • Monitor and report on market trends, activities, and feedback, offering suggestions for product development
  • Attend trade exhibitions, conferences, and meetings to represent our client’s brand
  • Participate in company training programs to enhance sales techniques and product knowledge

 

Skills & Experience:

  • Strong technical knowledge of plant engineering background
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships
  • Capability to generate business leads
  • Good IT, budget and report writing skills

 

Due to the nature of the role, a full driving license and access to a car is essential.
