Do you have experience working with maintenance tools, like mowers, strimmers and hedge cutters? Are you a hard worker with a willingness to learn? Then this might be the role for you!

Our client is looking for a Ground Maintenance keeper to join their team on a full-time, temporary basis. The successful candidate will support their Open Spaces team with general maintenance within public spaces.

Responsibilities:

• Undertake general repairs, cleaning and maintenance of public property
• Maintain recreational areas including cutting and weeding, using appropriate equipment
• Assist with the planting and maintenance of flowerbeds, hanging baskets and tubs
• Check the safety of play and sport equipment under healthy and safety regulations
• Cover duties of Park Warden during periods of sickness
• Provide assistance in the preparation of community events
• Ensure any work carried out is within health and safety regulations e.g. using cleaning material and specialised equipment

Skills & Experience:

• Previous experience in grounds maintenance is desirable, but not essential
• Experience in using general maintenance tools, mowers, strimmers, hedge cutter etc.
• Excellent verbal communication abilities

Travel around the local area is required, so a full cleaning driving license is essential.

The working hours for this role is Monday – Thursday, 8.00am – 4.00pm, Fridays 8.00am – 4.00pm.

This is a temporary role likely to last until August 2023
