Gardener – Private Estate

Location: Pewsey, Wiltshire

Salary: £25,000 – £30,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Hours: Monday to Thursday 8:00am–5:00pm, Friday 8:00am–4:00pm

Some weekend work may be required during peak seasons

Holiday: 28 days per year

Our respected client is seeking a reliable, hardworking Gardener to join their team and help maintain a large private estate under the guidance of the Head Gardener.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for horticulture to work in a beautiful setting, supporting the upkeep and development of extensive gardens and grounds. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role and a genuine interest in developing their skills further.

Additional training will be provided if required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Mowing lawns (ride-on and pedestrian mowers)
• Strimming and hedge cutting
• Leaf blowing, weeding, watering, and deadheading
• General maintenance to keep gardens clean and presentable
• Pruning, planting, and seasonal maintenance
• Assisting with vegetable and cut flower production

Requirements:

• Experience using garden machinery is essential
• Experience working in a large private garden is highly desirable
• Chainsaw certification is advantageous
• Trustworthy, physically fit, and comfortable working outdoors in all weathers
• Able to work both independently and as part of a team
• Self-motivated with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
