6-month contract

£12.50ph – £15.00ph (PAYE) or £25.00ph – £30.00ph (Umbrella)  

The working hours are 8 hours per day between 08:00 and 18:00 Monday to Friday.

I have been requested to support our client to recruit an Electronics Technician based in Westbury, Wiltshire for a 6-month contract to assemble printed circuit boards, create wiring looms to associated schematics, test prototypes and small production batches of bespoke components.

The purpose of this position is to provide accuracy and attention to detail with the manufacturing of bespoke products that are designed to operate in extreme conditions at remote locations around the world where failure is costly.

Duties and Responsibilities include:

• Assembly of surface mount printed circuit boards.
• Assembly of wiring harnesses.
• Assembly of circuit boards, wiring harnesses and mechanical parts into products.
• Component level testing of circuit boards.
• Fault diagnosis and rework.

Skills required include:

• Good literacy, numeracy, communication, and organisational skills
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Technical ability and manual dexterity.
• Prior working experience with PCBs and exposure to an engineering environment (either electrical, electro-mechanical or mechanical).

There is an immediate start available for the right candidate.

This position would be suitable for candidates who have held the following job titles: PCB Solderer, PCB Assembler, PCB SMT Assembler, Solderer / PCB Operator.

The successful candidate would ideally be qualified to IPC standards and would require minimal training.
