Job Title – Design Technician

Location – Devizes

Salary – £32,000 – £34,000 plus bonuses

My client is looking to recruit a Design Technician to join their engineering business located in Devizes, who manufacture precision components used within a variety of industries.

Within the role of Design Technician, you will undertake various duties including:

• The design of tooling/components using Solidworks including generating models, assemblies, and drawings.
• Producing component drawings
• The generation of manufacturing documentation
• Managing Solidworks data using Solidworks PDM data management system
• Investigating NCR’s as they occur

Due to the way the products are manufactured my client are looking for someone with knowledge of the following manufacturing processes: CNC Machining, Wire EDM, Welding

The role will also involve working closely with other departments within the business including Manufacturing and the Quality, ensuring that the relevant quality standards are always worked to.

The successful candidate will be educated to a minimum of HNC level and have previously experience in working in a design or technical office producing technical documents. A good understanding of external regulations and standards, particularly ISO9001, ISO14001, AS9100 and manufacturing legislation will also be required within the role.

The position will involve working 37 hours a week Monday to Friday.
