Our client, a leading manufacturing business in Calne who refurbish engineering parts for the rail industry, are seeking an experienced Brazer/Assembler to join their team.

With an increase in workload, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in the installation and repair of copper pipework used in the manufacture and modification of Air-conditioned units.

Responsibilities:

• Brazing, metal (mainly copper and brass) products, components, to assemble the finished product.
• Working from technical drawings
• Adhering to H&S regulations
• Strip, survey and assist in the refurb of Air-conditioned units.
• Quality Control and Final Inspection.
• To carry out such other duties & responsibilities as required.
• Ensure assigned daily work schedule and production target is achieved.

Requirements:

• Proven experience of operating a Copper Brazing (Open Flame) to fuse and tack copper pipe/tubing together.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
• Good organizational and time-management skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work well in a team.

The successful candidate will be an experienced Brazer, working to high standards ideally with a recognised relevant qualification.

This position will see you working a 37-hour week on days 07:00 – 15:30 Monday Thursday and 07:00 – 12:00 Friday.
